April to May

My goodness, is it May already? It is officially Eleanor’s birthday month. It is hard (practically impossible) to believe my baby girl is going to be one! ONE! It sure goes by fast with your second one. We are getting all geared up for an Elmo parTAY! Even though she is too little to pick, I know she would pick Elmo if she could. She squeals, smiles and kicks her legs at the sight of Elmo.

This May I am going to try FatMumSlim’s Photo A Day Challenge. If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter you will catch my photos. I might just round them up for you at the end of the month too. Y’all should join in too! I am awful (AWFUL!) at sticking with these kind of things, so wish me luck. If you join in just hashtag your posts #photoadaymay. Here are the topics.

Today was peace so I snapped a picture of me reading to the little guy. Is there anything more peaceful then cuddling with your children, reading a story and unwinding from the day?

So much to look forward to (umm….Mother’s day?) in May. Before moving forward, lets take a look back at the month of April.

Easter feels so long ago, but we started out with my decoupage Easter egg project and my trick for boiling perfect eggs every time. I also shared with you how blessed we are here.

You know how we like to get crafty around here. We shared a few crafty ideas this month. We made our DIY magnets with scrapbook paper here and then I hooked you up with a Hunger Games printable. Perfect for Hunger Games magnets. I also shared a fantastic idea for Mother’s day with my bouquet tutorial and a quick wedding craft here.

I also shared a quick, affordable solution for a giant empty space above our stairway here and I finally updated you on our spray painted hardware here. We also got started on a makeover on Eleanor’s room here.

I shared my Friday Favorites and a few of my favorite posts here. I shared a few other tidbits here and a little personal mommy moment here.

We love our printables around here. Aside from the Hunger Games printable, we also included an Earth day printable and a Teacher Appreciation Printable.

We also had a few giveaways this month. Rubbermaid sponsored a Hidden Recycler giveaway. An awesome product I shared about here and an Copper River Bag Co. gave away one saWEEt camera bag here. I also shared a little contest from ForRent.com here.

That about wraps up April! Time to get hyped for May :). Anyone have big plans for May? Anything you are looking forward to?
