The cupcakes were made by mother. The Elmo dress was made by my mother in law. You can find out about the Elmo photo garland here.

Mushy stuff.

It really was a wonderful day. I really like decorating and paying attention to details for a party. I know those things aren’t needed, but I really like doing them. Plus, when you see your kid’s face light up and you know they feel special it is worth it 100%. And yes, even at one, Eleanor lit up when she saw Elmo.

It really is unbelievable how quickly this year went by and how much has changed. At this point a year ago I was still in the hospital! We, as a family, are truly blessed.

Megan and Ross you sure know how to make your child’s birthday something special. You really know how to get the most out of each and every birthday and holiday. You guys are such great parents.

Everything is so DARLING!!!  Especially your sweet girl. :-))  Love it all, what a fun party. Congrats to Mama for making it through the first year.

Thanks Lauren! I always feel like the first birthday party is as much about mom as it is baby. Especially when you are a nursing mom. Let the weaning commence! She is a pretty sweet girl and she is growing up TOO fast!

They grow up so unbelievably fast. I feel like we’re on a ride and I want to slow down!

Your home looks so happy. I really see all the hard work and love you put into making it that way. You can tell your kids feel loved, because they look SO happy. Great post, great pictures, great party, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELEANOR!!!

I know exactly what you mean. In fact, Quinn started to say to me, “I just want to cry. You are growing up too fast mommy.” Hmm…wonder where he heard that from. I seriously have the overwhelming urge to hysterically cry sometimes, because it all just feels like it is passing too quickly. I want to remember it all! The baby soft skin, the sweet voice, and all the things that make them special (before society and self-consciousness set in).

It is a happy home with lots of love! Thanks for noticing ;). Really, thank you for such kind words.

Thanks. It is fun to have a place to “decorate” and let loose on. Right now I’m working on a fall mantle.
