Bruce, our Elf on the Shelf has been bringing lots of laughter to the household: giving people mustaches, building forts, messing with power tools, fishing for underwear, hot tubbin', gaming, camping, hanging out and playing cards. He is still Quinn's first priority every morning. What kinds of things has your elf been up to? Please excuse some of the poor photography. Most of these pictures are taken at night when Bruce is getting into mischief and the lighting isn't all that great. We ...
A Full Week: Milestones, Cheerleaders & Santa
This is one of those weeks where we had a lot going on. Monday, I was the helper in Quinn's classroom. He loves being the leader, starting snack, getting to pick the songs they dance to and the way they say hello. I love being a part of his world. When I was leaving Quinn's school Monday I said, "Have a good weekend!". It was at this point I realized it was going to be a long week. We had the usual: Quinn's school Monday (me volunteering) and Wednesday, but we also managed: story time, open gym, ...
Front Entryway Makeover: Before & After

I'm loving these stainless steel Indian cups, part of the Life of Pi collection. They make the most gorgeous vases. The ivory bone jewelry box is so simple and neutral, ...
Christmas Table
The other day Ross came home to a clean house and a beautifully set table. Don't get your hopes up buddy, I just set the table for blog photos and there is no dinner. Yes, while the children napped I cleaned up and then played around with setting a Christmas table and taking photos of it. This table is super simple. A table runner (reversible: gold/silver--a.k.a. more bang for my buck) and chargers from Walmart for $1, standard white dishes, green napkins I found on clearance at Target, ...
