Y'all probably remember from my post the other day, Snow Filled Mason Jar Holiday Hurricane, that I like to keep my holiday decor cheap and versatile. I am not dropping mad cash to get a holiday home for one month. None-the-less I want a festive home. What's a girl to do? Get crafty! That's what. So my glitter Christmas trees aren't exactly versatile...well, unless you ask Quinn. He said that it should be princess hate for Eleanor. But cheap they were. My quest for a snazzy tree started when ...
Elf on the Shelf is Back
Bruce, our Elf on the Shelf, is back. He was a gift to us last year. We had so much fun with him, he is officially a tradition around here. The kids love it. The kid's are encouraged to tell Bruce what they want for Christmas, much like writing a letter to Santa. We often refer to Bruce as a stinker and we certainly don't use him as a form of parenting. The kiddos and I loved having daddy home. We need to win the lottery so Ross can join me in stay-at-home-parentdom. We are lucky enough to have lots of family nearby and were able to celebrate Thanksgiving three times. The kiddos absolutely loved seeing so much family and playing with their cousins. I ...
A Simple & Affordable Christmas Mantle
I tired the kids out with a trip to open gym at the local gymnastics center and a trip to great grandma and grandpa's house this morning. Now that they are off napping it is time for me to share our Christmas shelf. Before we get to that, I have gotta tell you about my weekend. If you follow me on Facebook you know that I was stoked about having a weekend with NO PLANS! I don't remember the last time that happened. With three Thanksgivings this week and the holidays around the corner, it is just ...
