Big Girl Room Doors & DIY Magnet Board

We finally wrapped up Eleanor's room. Since starting her room our living room got a bit of a makeover, we renovated our bathroom, worked on an nursery and welcomed a brand new baby boy. Needless to say, I have left you all hanging. I have been sharing with you the process of Eleanor's room makeover starting with the prepping, the reading nook, the low down on the reading nook, everything you need to know about carpet tiles, how the room was inspired, the hardware, and the bedding . Before the final reveal, there is one thing left to share--the doors. Eleanor has an attic access door in her ...

Halloween Chalkboard Art

We are hitting mid-October and my chalkboard has been sitting blank for weeks. I finally got around to getting a little something, something up there. I found the trick to writing on chalkboards is to keep the board wet. The chalk goes on much more smoothly and much more vibrantly. It may not seem so at first, but once it dries it is going to be amazeballs. Promise. This little chalkboard vignette is in addition to our spooky Halloween mantle shelf. Dollar Store Tray to Chalkboard Decor

I have an obsession with chalkboard paint. We have it on the closet doors in the kid's rooms and in the kitchen. When I got some Martha Stewart Chalkboard paint (courtesy of Plaid Crafts) I was just itching to turn something into a chalkboard. We decided we wanted to unify the space. All that bold green on the dining room walls wasn't the ...

Quinn’s Nursery

Hello friends! Phase Two house tour tab is now updated with the most recent pictures of our casa. Be sure to check them out. Obviously there have been a lot of changes and I plan on going them over in more detail in my daily posts. For today I would like to talk about a room that is no more, but holds a very special place in my son's nursery. I wish I had more pictures! His room was made with love. My son was a bit of a stinker and even though we wanted to know if we were having a boy or a girl, he didn't cooperate. Since we couldn't go boy or girl in our decor, but we didn't ...
