If you recall from this post, when we found out we were pregnant with baby number four, we started a room shuffle. Everyone switched rooms and not one room is finished. The baby's room is a pile of stuff, our room is awaiting some sort of clothing storage miracle, the boys have their mattresses on the floor and just this one gallery wall done, and Eleanor's clothes are sitting in plastic tubs while we wait for a dresser. Part of the reason everything is sitting in disarray is time and ...
Goodwill
That Giant Space Above the TV
I'm kind of an obsessive re-arranger. It is one of those things I do. I've been that way as long as I can remember. Me and my bestie would rearrange our rooms and make plans to decorate it on a shoestring budget monthly. Oh, and I was 11. So it comes as no surprise that the living room just got rearranged again. Love this gallery wall surrounding the TV. With a few tweaks, the gallery wall stayed, but the TV left. I picked up this giant frame at Goodwill. I popped out the ...
Goodwill Nightstands
This summer I ran into Goodwill hoping to find a little treasure. I spotted what appeared to be the two sides to a vanity. I immediately thought--nightstands! For $9.99 you cannot go wrong with solid wood. This is the only before picture I have. I snapped it in Goodwill to send to the hubs for his opinion. They cleaned up nicely! A good scrub, a rub down with some tinted furniture polish and some fresh hardware and we were in business. I adore the cute little wheeled furniture ...
Fun Living Room Update With Goodwill Desk
Sometimes I get the urge to find a little treasure. I will swing by Goodwill once a month and just hope to find something that catches my eye. I'm a sucker for all things school. You can take the girl out of the classroom, but not the classroom out of the girl. Or something like that. Desks, globes, chalkboards, rulers, books-- I love them all. Last trip, I found this desk and snatched it up immediately. I didn't know what to do with it. For now it is an end table in the ...
Goodwill Headboard Makeover
For those of you who follow me (if you don't, go ahead and start) you know that I picked up this headboard at Goodwill (as mentioned here) for $14.99 (well, less actually, due to discounts). There she is hanging out in my garage waiting for her makeover. By makeover, I mean a good spray down with my new best friend Carbon Mist. This metallic spray paint by Rustoleum is magic in a can. Literally. It seriously looks like we bought a metal headboard. I am officially obsessed. I will share more ...
