Valentine’s Day Emergency Kit

In the morning, one of the first things I do is check my phone. Emails, Instagram, Facebook, etc. If you are like me, your feed was blowing up with breakfast in bed, heart shaped pancakes, flowers, chocolate, gifts and fancy decorated spaces. Shoot. We are hanging out in PJ's and a disaster and I'm feeling a little bit like a failure. I had every intention of all of that. I did. This week was crazy busy. We had something every night of the week. Three magnet school orientation/registrations (a whole other topic for another time), my dad's birthday last night (also coupled with an ...

Easy Entertaining For Game Day + Game Day Printables

Football Party with lots of printables: Chalkboard playbook printable, varsity letter pennant printable, cupcake topper printables. Simple tips for entertaining like paper bag serving bowls, customized water bottles, and DIY tassel bunting.

Thank you Tide plus Febreze Freshness for sponsoring this conversation. Back in my college days fall Saturdays were spent cheering on the Badgers at Camp Randall stadium. Now they will be filled with Saturday morning soccer games and catching up on housework and house projects, but we still like to make time to cheer on our Alma Mater. When it comes to game day entertaining, I like to keep it festive, simple and cheap. We created these varsity letter pennant printables for every letter in the alphabet so you can spell out whatever team suites you. You can find them at the bottom of ...

Cleaning Tips & Printables

This post is sponsored by: If you have a house full of little people like me, you probably feel like you are walking uphill both ways--in the snow---with no shoes.  Or something like that. The point is, it kind of feels like a never ending battle and it kind of is. (You can download this printable at the bottom of the page). Okay, so mess is inevitable. But it also is manageable. And while we all might be okay with tolerating a floor full of Legos, a TV stand with Skylanders lined up on it and think nothing of stepping over a castle made of blocks, we probably cringe at actual ...

January In Review

Basement Organization: Craft Room, Work Room using #TRINITYproducts #spon

Ahh...the month of love! Hard to believe that is February already. Only 10 weeks until baby boy graces us with his presence. We still need to get Eleanor's big girl room ready, transition her into a big girl bed (at 21 months) and give the nursery some boyish charm. All in ten weeks. Did I mention 10 weeks? With Easter, baby showers and weddings my weekends are dwindling. As overwhelming as that checklist feels at times, it was pretty awesome to look back on the blog to see what I have accomplished. February might me be the month of love, but I started my Valentine's day prep in January. I ...

Valentine Printable For the Little Ones

#Printable #Valentine Non Candy with #Arrow Pencil

This Valentine is a fun play on words, but most importantly it is a non-candy Valentine that can keep the kiddos busy. A teacher's favorite kind. Trust me, I know (I was a teacher). They print off four to a sheet and are just dandy the way they are. If you want to include a pencil you could just washi tape one and be done. I got a little more crafty and had my pencil become an arrow that is piercing the heart. So the husband is the graphic designer. Let me show you what I gave him to work with. Then I sit behind him and boss him around and drive him crazy. I love watching him ...

Love Shines Here Printable

Those of you who have been with me a long time (pound it!) may remember my customized kitchen herb garden. Using the same inspiration and a similar look I "hired" the hubs to create a fun printable. Friends, meet inspiration: Now meet the printable my very talented husband created (with my backseat designing, of course). And because it is fun to see what it would look like framed, here it is in an 8x10 opening. These printables are for your own private use and are not to be mass reproduced, distributed or sold. As always, you can find this printable (along with all the ...

August In Review

August seemed to be about three things: 1. Crossing things off of our summer to do list. 2. Back to School. 3. Prepping for fall. It is absolutely crazy to me that summer is over, that Quinn will start preschool and turn 4 this fall and that my husband is going to be 30. Seems like just yesterday we were celebrating 21. Hard to believe how quickly we went from being excited to go to bars to two kids, a mortgage and careers. Anyone else look around and wonder, Whose life is this? As far as crossing things off of our summer list, here are a few I blogged about this August: Making ...

Back To School Printables & More

It is August, and y'all know what that means. Back to school. All the back to school supplies are out and shiny and new and just so pretty! Anyone else get giddy over school supplies? I picked up a planner the other day. Keeping my blog posts, blog commitments and all our doctor and dentist appointments straight was just too darn tricky. I have an iPhone, I know it can do all that stuff, but I am really just a paper and pencil kind of girl. I realize that most of you probably buy planners in January for the start of the calendar year. I do not function in calendar years, I function in ...
