Having a yard isn’t only about the work, it is about enjoying it too! Yes, the list of outdoor projects is long (check that list out here), but we want to make sure to make time for the good stuff. We did our planning with the Home Depot Garden Club (check out more on that here) and then went to Home Depot and grabbed everything we needed for spring, summer and fall to keep our yard in tip top shape (check that out here) and finally we got to work (check that out here) and boy what a difference.
Let me share with you once again what the yard looked like a couple of weeks ago when we started to dig in to spring and now.
With lovely weather rolling in it, is time to start thinking about outdoor fun. With three kids, (4, 2, and a newborn) we definitely need to keep busy. Last year we enjoyed lots of these ideas right in our own backyard and we are looking forward to doing it again.
One of my favorite is jump the brook. I was a camp counselor over the summer and this was always a kid favorite. Just about any age can play, a variety of ages can be included, it requires minimal equipment and is so easy to do. Even grown-ups like to play. Especially really competitive dads. Check the video below where I teach you how.
