On Valentine’s Day I posted about how we were celebrating Valentine’s Day in the bedroom. Just because Valentine’s day wasn’t getting fancy, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t going to be celebrated. Y’all know how much I love my holidays around here. That has rubbed off on the kiddos too. They look forward to the decorations and the festivities more then me. The kids woke up to Valentine surprises.
Eleanor was so excited about her coloring book and crayons and Quinn was so excited about his maze and preschool book, you would have thought I bought them a super cool toy. As much as I love the idea of surprising them with something, I didn’t want more junk or meaningless toys. I think books, activity books and coloring books/craft stuff will be the Valentine norm around here.
Most of the other celebrating was saved for when daddy got home. It isn’t fair that he misses out on everything. We made heart shaped pizzas, played pin the heart on the giraffe and after E was in bed we made and decorated heart shaped cookies. I was soo bad at pin the heart on the giraffe, I ended up hugging a lamp and Quinn had to guide me back to the poster.
So now that I shared how we celebrated a day of LOVE, I wanna give you some love! That is right, one lucky reader will win a Kindle Fire. And you thought Valentine’s Day was over ;).
My bloggy friends and I teamed up to offer you a brand spanking new kindle fire! (And because giving stuff away is so fun, stop by later this week for another giveaway)
