Accessorizing With World Market Life of Pi Collection & a Giveaway

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you know I have been geeking out about my latest project, my front entryway. How about a sneak peak? I got the chance to shop the Life of Pi Collection from World Market and I spiced up my front entryway with their accessories. After all, accessories are the spice of life ;).

I’m loving these stainless steel Indian cups, part of the Life of Pi collection. They make the most gorgeous vases. The ivory bone jewelry box is so simple and neutral, but beautiful at the same time. It is perfect for storing all the random junk that comes out of pockets, etc.

Continuing with the ivory theme, I picked up this beautiful hand-crafted scalloped frame. The candle is Indian sandalwood and my mom and I were flipping over the scent. Yup, mom was my partner in crime for this shopping adventure. The table wasn’t the only thing that got a little spice up, the walls did too!

Those carved wood panels are hand-carved by artisans in India using timeworn techniques. Now that is pretty cool! Let us step back and enjoy it all together.

The entire collection is based off of the book, turned movie, Life of Pi. Life of Pi is the story of an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeeper’s son, who survives a disaster at sea and is thrown into an epic journey. While adrift in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with another a fearsome Bengal tiger. The movie opened in theaters November 21, 2012. You can watch the trailer for Life of Pi here. I actually read the book for book club and there was a bit of difference of opinion on the ending. I am very interested to see how the movie interprets the ending.
