We are finally to bedding. I had a heck of a time finding bedding for Eleanor’s room. Once I decided on the inspiration, drapes from World Market, I needed some pretty plain jane bedding. The bed is positioned near the drapes and I didn’t want the two competing for attention. Something simple and solid is hard to come by. I ended up finding this ruffle quilted number online at Walmart.
Plain in terms of color and pattern, but it has a little texture to give it some oomph! Plus, I thought Eleanor would enjoy the texture.
I layered the quilt with a fleece blanket from Target. I went with green to pick up on the green in the print that inspired the whole room. The sheets are yellow and white striped. If you are wondering why I chose yellow and white stripe sheets, it is because they were on clearance at Target for like $9.99. The fact there is some yellow in the print = winning. The throw pillows are both from World Market. Well technically, the floral print that matches the drapes is a cloth napkin that my MIL whipped into a pillow for me.
This shot helps you see how the fruit prints pick up the colors from the inspiration fabric. So drapery fabric pops up in the pillow and then again in the reading nook on the letters I covered. And who knows where else- It is a work in progress.
And here is a shot of the big girl checking out her big girl bed for the first time.
I apologize for the blur. She was on the move! She had a whole room to check out! If you are keeping tabs that was Target for sheets and fleece, Walmart for quilt, and World Market for pillows.
I actually hear the little stinker on the baby monitor playing in her room instead of napping. So I better wrap this up and lay down the law (aka put her back in bed….again).

I think we are down to two more projects to share. One is done and one isn’t. Then it will be time for a drum roll and the big reveal :). What kind of project have you been working on?
