This is by far the hardest of the 3o day challenges I have done yet! Lights out by 10:30 felt a lot like mission impossible. Whole30 and blogging for 30 days straight was definitely easier. As I embark on changing my life, 30 days at a time–I realize I will not be perfect. I was perfect for the first 20 days, but was definitely more lax–missing my bedtime a few days at the end.
What I learned from attempting to climb into bed at 10 and lights (and phone) out by 10:30 is that a lot of the things that keep me up can wait or are literally nothing more then a diversion. I learned that the best way to unwind, is to go to bed! All the things you would expect from going to bed early happened. Getting up was easier, I was more productive, less crabby and used my time during the day better.
One of my favorite parts of blogging has been the ways it has pushed me to learn. One of the things I have learned a lot about, but still need to learn so much more about, is photography.
The other day when Quinn was hanging out in the living room, I worked on some camera skills with him as my model.
I have so much to learn, but every time I get out my camera and put it on manual mode, I learn a little more.
Over the next 30 days, I want to work on my photography.
That means shooting practice or learning.
I bought Photography 101 & 102 from Shoot fly Shoot. I plan to work through them over the next 30 days.
Photography is something I’ve always wanted to learn. My year of 30 day challenges is about taking the steps to become better and do more of what makes me happy.
