We made it to the grocery store the other day…finally. Ross was unpacking some groceries, I was in the living room with the kiddos and our conversation went something like this:
Ross: Why did you buy more hot chocolate? We have tons of it!
Me: (I yell back from the living room) Because I wanted mint hot chocolate. I have been craving it.
Ross: This isn’t mint.
Me: Yes it is.
Ross: No it isn’t.
Me: (Marching to kitchen to prove my right-ness and points at word “mint”) See!
Ross: That says mini.
hmmm….
So it does! On top of being wrong, I don’t have any mint hot chocolate to enjoy. The real kicker is: I don’t even like marshmallows in my hot chocolate! Good thing Quinn does. Sometimes I wonder how I can be so ditzy, but then I remember that I never get to have a single thought in silence or ever focus on one task at a time. Ahh…the life of a mom. Ya feel me?
In blogging news, you may have noticed a new look around here. I am trying hard to clean things up and simplify. Kind of like a trip to Goodwill for my blog. I have been working hard behind the scenes at silly things like deleting 200,000+ spammy pingbacks, a page at a time. Sidenote: I kind of have an obsessive personality. When I decide I am going to do something, I do it. When I decided these spammy pingbacks had to go, I selected all and deleted over and over and over again into the wee hours of the night. I’m glad to report they are all gone!
This is the same reason I cannot get my hair cut at fancy salons. When I decide I want my hair cut, I want it cut. I cannot wait around for an appointment. Anyone else a little obsessive like me? I like to think of it as a healthy dose of motivation…right? 😉 I also have been working on the project gallery. So if you are new or haven’t been following me very long and you are wondering, “What does this girl do?” come over and have a look. So far only crafts, decor, DIY projects & holidays has been updated. What do you think of the new look?
In other, even less related news (as if this post had a point), I wasted a bunch of time on the computer looking at houses for sale. Isn’t that what you do when your kids are napping? I even started decorating a few in my head. You might be wondering, Are you moving? Probably not. I would love to move, but we bought our house when the market was high and haven’t lived here that long. We have done A LOT, but I worry about losing money on a sale. When I was pregnant with Quinn the obsession was finishing the kitchen renovation. With Eleanor it was redecorating the entire house. With this baby it is getting a new house. There is that crazy obsessive personality again. I tell ya.
I would love to hear what is new with you? Any ditzy moments? Do you have the itch to move? Share your randomness with me so I don’t feel like such an oddball ;).
