Many moons ago, pre-baby #4, I did Whole30 and lost 12 lbs. I loved it and felt great. Then the holidays hit. And my birthday. And before I knew it I was pregnant. You can read all about my first Whole30 experience here and what I ate here. There are plenty of inspiring Whole30 Experiences to check out here. I feel like I have so many ideas swirling around in my head about food and weight and body image and I hope I can get my message across. I spent most of my life as the skinny kid. ...
30 Day Challenge
Having a Bedtime Is Hard
This is by far the hardest of the 3o day challenges I have done yet! Lights out by 10:30 felt a lot like mission impossible. Whole30 and blogging for 30 days straight was definitely easier. As I embark on changing my life, 30 days at a time--I realize I will not be perfect. I was perfect for the first 20 days, but was definitely more lax--missing my bedtime a few days at the end. Challenge three: Undecided, but you should join me. We can start on November 1st. Here are five things I have learned from challenging myself for 30 days. 1. No mental acrobatics. The decision ...

In September, I did the whole30. You can read more about my experience here. It was amazing to me to see the difference 30 days made. I was talking this over with my brother and he said you should do a year of 30 day challenges. He suggested things like 30 days without TV or 30 days of cold showers. My first response was, how about you take cold showers and not watch TV for 30 days? amiright? A few weeks after this discussion I found myself still thinking about his idea to do a ...
