Hudson’s First Birthday

April 22, 2014 by Megan 7 Comments

This week/weekend has been so crazy packed that I couldn't even fit into one post. Well, at least not one post anyone would read. Wednesday, the 16th Hudson turned 1! This is baby #3 for me and I swear that with each kid, time just keeps going faster. I don't know how we got here so quickly. We started off his birthday with pancakes. This boy likes to eat. We went to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Last time we were there was in the fall and Hudson pretty much slept through the whole thing. ...

I Made A Pillow

April 7, 2014 by Megan 19 Comments

There is a phrase lately that I have been a little bit obsessed with. Let them be little. Lately I feel like everything is about more. Kids start school younger, go longer, and there seems to be this push for them to know more. I'm all for learning, but right now I just want to let them be little. This means that the floor is often littered with Legos, blocks and action figures. It means that we listen to the Frozen soundtrack on repeat and if our TV is on it is PBS Kids. It means ...

Simple Spring Feather Mantle

March 27, 2014 by Megan 4 Comments

A couple sheets of paper and my Cricut|explore was all it took to bring a little spring to my my mantle. I used the Cricut|explore to cut feathers, letters and paper bows. The feathers were clipped to the twine for bunting, put behind a frame for art and clipped to the Instagram display. A super simple way to bring some spring to our home. Just a few sheets of paper and voila! Now we just need the weather to cooperate. Amiright? ...

Turning Kid Art into Gift Tags

March 18, 2014 by Megan 5 Comments

Eleanor loves to paint. She practically asks to paint everyday. She creates pieces like this. I started to feel bad about throwing them away, but I certainly wasn't going to just save them all. That is when I had the idea to bust out my Cricut and turn them into gift tags. This literally took minutes. I picked a gift tag shape I liked in the Cricut Design Space and hit Go. I also cut out those adorable feathers on the Cricut. I'm obsessed! You can write on ...

A DIY Shirt With a Special Touch

February 20, 2014 by Megan 28 Comments

I am so excited about this project. As soon as I finished I texted a picture to my mom and my friend and anyone who would listen. Now let me start by saying how blessed I was to invited out to Utah to meet the fine people at Cricut and get a sneak peek at the new Cricut |explore. Crazy inspirational. I was dying to get my hands on a machine. In a way it is almost overwhelming, because there is so much this machine can do. I didn't even know where to start. I want to make ...
