While perusing the aisles of Target with the in-laws we stumbled on this adorable little bookshelf/dollhouse. It was on clearance. I was in love.
Instantly I had visions of Eleanor sitting in front of it playing with her dollies. In the meantime, I knew it would be a great place for books and other fun goodies. So the in-laws got it for Eleanor for her first birthday.
You may remember from this post, that it spent some time in a box in the dining room before we finally got around to putting it together. Well we put her together and even took it one step further by applying some fun contact paper that I found at TJ Maxx. Take a look.
Ooh….Ahh! Do you see the stripes in the background? Yup, I owe you a post on that one.
Details, details, details!
Shelf is from Target. On clearance so it might not be around anymore.
All the buckets I have picked up over time from Target’s Dollar Spot.
The elephant and cubes with the apple/pear fabric was made by the MIL.
The blue and white quarter foil paper was a TJ Maxx find.
The adorable (if I do say so myself) flowers were a rummage sale find I made over. Check that out here.
Check out what flutters above the dollhouse/bookshelf.
You can find out more on the butterfly mobile here.
I am totally in love with this shelf. Once little E gets her hands on it, it wont look quite like this, but mommy still had fun.
