Eleanor’s New and Improved Room

I finally got the stripes I always wanted. I wanted to paint these bad boys back when I was six months pregnant with Eleanor, but my husband thought I was CRUH-azy. I was and I still am. Craziness prevails. My favorite thing about Eleanor’s room (which is true for much of our house) is that her room is almost completely DIY/handmade and if it was bought it was most likely altered in some way. All except those darn IKEA dressers. There are a few projects in her room I haven’t shared yet, so I will come back later with an update on those. Without further ado, and not too many words from me, here is Eleanor’s room.

Thanks for touring. I will be back later to update you on a few projects.

We made all of the art. All of the prints were created by my husband (graphic designer). Check out our Etsy shop. The memo board, fabric covered cork boards,  sunburst mirror, butterfly mobile, embroidery ring art and flowers were projects made by me. The quilt, crib skirt, elephant, giraffe, pillow & Elmo dress were sewn by my mother-in-law. The bookshelf and basket both got upgrades. The bookshelf and ottoman were Target clearance finds. The curtains are from Land of Nod. The dresser, nightstand and crib are from IKEA (once belonged to Quinn). The larger white apple is Pottery Barn Teen (clearance) and the smaller white apple is a TJ Maxx find. The fan and long mirror are also TJ Maxx finds.
