Fashion and Week 2 Weigh In

I adopted a little bit of a different attitude this week. I tried really hard to focus on eating well. I didn’t have any sweets, candy, junk food, etc. I tried to limit my simple carbs and fill up on vegetables and light soups. I did not count calories. This made me nervous. I struggle with determining what the “right” amount of calories is. As a breastfeeding mom I felt that if I made good choices, I could let my body lead the way.

As far as exercise goes I did Just Dance 4 three times this week (50 min, 30 min, and 50 min) and I did the elliptical once for 30 min and one nice paced family walk for 30 min.

Yesterday was weigh in day–

Weight: -1.4 lbs for a total of -4 lbs

Neck: -.25 for a total of -.25 inches

Arm: -.25 for a total of -.25 inches

Bust: — for a total of -1.5 inches

Waist: — for a total of -2 inches

Belly Button (complete post partum belly): -1 for a total of -2 inches

Hips: -.75 for a total of -.75 inches

Thighs: -1.25 for a total of -1.25

I have endless inches to lose around my middle and I cannot wait to have a waist again.

This weekend we went back to school/fall shopping. Took advantage of some Labor Day sales.

As I was going through Eleanor’s haul I realized how jealous I was. How much I wished I could have bought a cute polka dot dress for myself, and a pair of skinny red jeans and the perfect pair of boot cut jeans. I miss clothes. I miss fashion. I miss making outfits and having fun with clothes and expressing myself through what I wear.

Clothes are a huge motivator for me. I want to fill my closet with beautiful things and have a reason to get dressed. Every time I don’t want to workout or want to give in and dive into a brownie sundae I think of buying a cute pair of jeans and funky top and a cute fitted blazer and rocking it.

And when I get there, you guys will be so sick of looking at selfies of me and my new clothes you will wish I never lost all this weight.

Is fashion a big motivator for you? What gets you going?
