I had such a blast with Shape Tape™. I originally wanted to paint up some plain white IKEA pillow cases, but I never got my butt to an IKEA. I ended up deciding to dress up some clipboards I had on hand and I am in love with how they turned out. Now I’m even more excited to create some pillow covers with Shape Tape™. This is hands down one of the simplest projects I have ever done. Seriously. No math was used in the making of these projects. I just played with the fun Shape Tape™, creating patterns that were pleasing to my eye and then threw down two coats of craft paint back to back. I took up the tape right away so that it wouldn’t dry on there and peel up paint. I was completely shocked how crisp the lines were. Shape Tape™ is made by Frog Tape® and has PaintBlock® Technology.
I had been wanting to paint a clipboard with chalkboard paint for some time, but couldn’t really figure out how to pain around the clip or how to take the clip off. The Shape Tape™ totally solved that problem. Now the fact the chalkboard paint doesn’t go all the way up looks intentional. Look at the line! Crisp. Here are a few other shots of the other two boards. These fun ideas and patterns can translate to so many other fun projects: Pillows, walls, lamp shades, decorative boxes, furniture. The possibilties are endless with Shape Tape™
