I’m here!
Oh, how I miss blogging and my people. I’m barely keeping up with my life right now, let alone finding time to share it. But I LOVE blogging and I cannot wait to get my blogging MOJO back. This has kind of been holding me back.
Heck yeah I watermarked that photo! Nobody else is getting credit for that belly. Lugging that bad boy around is a lot of work. Seriously guys, if you don’t follow me on Instagram (@balancinghome) or Facebook– YOU SHOULD! It is easy for me to share and keep those forums updated. Plus I love the connections I make with you all.
So yes, I am very pregnant and very huge and still chasing around a 4 year old and 23 month old. This guy is still on my sciatic nerve and I tried just about everything you guys shared on my Facebook page. Great tips and thank you. At the end of the day…I don’t think he has anywhere to go. On top of all that I have been redoing just about every room in our house. Last weekend we decided to start a bathroom remodel. What?! Yes, 10 days before a scheduled c/s with baby #3 we gutted our bathroom. And y’all wonder why I don’t have time to blog.
Friday night to Saturday morning. Oh, want a sneak peek of the nursery.
Umm…yeah. I am happy to report there is no longer a toilet in his room. There is however, a sink and then entire contents of our bathroom vanity and medicine cabinet.
Let me be clear on one thing. There are lots of projects and ideas to share and even more coming up in the future so stay tuned.
What I’m Loving
I went to a baby shower this weekend. Cutest baby shower favors ever!! And SOO useful :).
My sister gave me the heads up on this next one. I was so sad that I never encountered one.single.girl.scout to order cookies off of. Then my sister said something about the same cookies existing in the store. Cheaper and year round. These taste EXACTLY like thin mints. You can thank me later.
And yes, they are gone already. Yumm!
I am also loving baking soda. LOVING! Our stainless steel sink never looks clean and I could never get that gunk off of our glass top stove. Cleaned in with baking soda and tada! Plus, baking soda is so cheap.
Maybe it is the impending birth making me all nostalgic or Eleanor about to turn two, but I am loving looking through baby/toddler pics and comparing myself and siblings to my own kids. This is me at just about exactly Eleanor’s age now.
Exactly a week from today our bundle of joy will be here. Knowing I will have to meet the needs of a new baby, nursing and recovering from my c/s has me especially hooked on snuggles from Quinn and Eleanor. Like any mom, I worry. I worry I wont be able to give them the attention they need.
Quinn holding my hand while watching T.V. He is such a sweet, sweet boy. Kid wears his heart on his sleeve. I get so many snuggles, kisses, hugs and, “you are the best mom ever”, “I love you so much”, etc. throughout the day. No wonder I keep having more ;).
Then there is little miss E who is suddenly super snugly and affectionate. I could have those baby soft, pudgy hands on my cheeks all day.
I am also loving Quinn’s art work. It has been so fun watching scribbles turn into actual drawings I can make out. Today he brought me this drawing, he made it just for me…of course.
This is the first picture he has drawn where the baby is in it and not in my belly. That is how close we are people!!
We are also loving that spring has finally shown up. After freezing temperatures and snow for longer than anyone would care to see, it is nice to get outside with the kiddos.
Quinn starts soccer this week. We got him these bad boys.
I grew up on the soccer field in shin guards and spikes and it is absolutely crazy that I am buying spikes for my own little guy. I’m now 30, I own a minivan, and Quinn is starting soccer. I am officially a soccer mom. And you know what? I couldn’t be prouder. I am so excited for him.
Ok, as much as I complain about it…I’m kinda loving this belly too.
It is uncomfortable, but now that we are nearing the end I am kind of growing fond of it. Rubbing at it and watching it move and wondering what little combination of Ross and I could possibly exist in there.
How To Help This Pregnant Blogger Out
I have some of the most awesome readers, ever! You guys are loyal and supportive and I love the community we have built. If you want to send me a “virtual” casserole while I am in the hospital all next week and recovering the following weeks tell a friend about Balancing Home. Like the whole NBC slogan, “If you haven’t seen it, it is new to you.” Get a friend hooked on the project gallery and past posts. That will help makeup for my infrequent posting. Also, pin some of your favorite projects. Pinterest is a great sources of traffic for me. Those extra eyes on the blog will help keep things chugging along. Plus, I don’t want to check my pageviews in the hospital and have a panic attack that nobody is reading my blog and nobody ever will. Us bloggers do those kinds of things, you know.
So there it is in a nutshell. Tons of projects to look forward to hearing about, a new baby in a week and some of the things I am loving now. Anyone else’s life complete chaos at the moment? What are you loving now?
