This post brought to you by Moen, Incorporated. All opinions are 100% mine.

It isn’t often that I get to help my parents out. Even though I am all grown up, they are still helping me out: babysitting, or picking up a necessity there or a necessity here for the kids, taking me out to lunch. My parents are in the midst of remodeling two bathrooms and I thought the Moen Boardwalk 1-Handle bathroom faucet in Spot Resist would be perfect for them.

OLD-FAUCET

I think it is safe to say they needed a new one. My parent’s built their house 20 years ago and this is the original faucet.

So much better, amiright? Not only did I hook them up with a pretty awesome, sleek faucet, but the hubs and I hooked it up for them. It feels really good to be able to do something for them for a change.

UNDER-THE-SINK

The whole job, start to finish, took around an hour. Shut off the water and then unhook up the two water lines. Take out two bolts so you can pull up the faucet. To remove the old faucet we used a crescent wrench, a pair of plaits and a socket wrench. To put in the new faucet we only used a crescent wrench. Drop in the new faucet, hook up the lines and put the bolts in to secure the faucet. Turn the water back on and cross your fingers it works ;).

And it does! Make sure there are no leaks and you are golden. One of my jobs was to hold the faucet straight and centered while Ross tightened everything. My hands were a little wet and right when I took my hand off there would be a fingerprint and then it would disappear. It was kind of fun to watch, but even cooler to know that the Spot Resist Finish would make the faucet that much easier to keep looking clean.

FAUCET

The Moen Boardwalk 1-Handle bathroom faucet in Spot Resist is also available with two handles on the side. The bottom plate is optional. We needed to use the plate, because this sink had three openings. When it comes to the bathroom, updating a faucet gives you a lot of bang for your buck. I couldn’t believe what difference switching out one piece had.

You can find the Moen Boardwalk 1-Handle bathroom faucet in Spot Resist at Lowe’s. Don’t forget to Like Moen on Facebook.

If you are going to be dressing up the bathroom with a new faucet, you might as well add some new bathroom art–like the free printable below.
