A simple capsule wardrobe for moms is a must. When you need to get four kids out the door, finding time to pull yourself together can be challenging. When you feel like a taxi driver, who buckles and unbuckles kids all day, pulling yourself together might feel pointless.
But when you look good, you feel good. It may sound cliche or shallow, but I’ve found it to be true. Pulling together simple and comfortable outfits is super easy and affordable with the right basics.

The truth about looking good
I don’t know about you, but after having kids I didn’t look like myself and I didn’t feel like myself. Once I decided that I was a priority, and YOU ARE A PRIORITY, there was a very simple shift that took place.
Once I started to look more like myself, I started to feel more like myself.
And guess what? Feeling like myself made me a happier and more energetic person and mother.
Building a wardrobe when you have weight to lose
A capsule wardrobe is a beautiful thing. You take a few foundational pieces and mix and match. You can find great foundation pieces at any price point. If you are losing weight, make a bigger investment and have more fun with accessories and shoes. Those will obviously continue to fit you as your body changes.
Don’t let your weight make you a slave to yoga pants. Celebrate the body you do have. Hard earned life lessons have taught me that the only answer to a better life, better body, better confidence is some extreme self-love.
So yes, you should look as pulled together as your child. The same rules apply!
