Alphabet Rocks

July 17, 2015 by Megan Leave a Comment

Last week I shared this fun Tic-Tac-Toe activty and printable. I told you that the obsession with rocks was big around here. Well, I managed to use up a ton more creating alphabet rocks. I used the same Elmers Painters Pens to write on the rocks. I did two sets of the alphabet and an extra set of the vowels. On one side is capital letters and on the other side are lower case letters. Now we can spell all sorts of fun things! The kids really like playing with them. They like ...

Simple Entertainment

February 24, 2014 by Megan Leave a Comment

This winter is getting long. We are heading into March and the week's forecast still has us well below freezing. Everything is covered in ice and the snow is knee deep or higher everywhere. I made this little number years ago and just pulled it back out recently. Yes, wings are required attire. It is just a plastic bin full of dry beans. Ross: "Yes, he is dead." Quinn: "Is Babygirl (our cat & don't judge...that is her adopted name) going to die?" Ross: "Yes, Babygirl is going to ...

This is the best news ever. How are we going to afford this? I wonder if it is a girl or a boy? Names? Which room will the baby get? What were we thinking? I'm so excited! all seem to pass through your mind in seconds. There is something about the seriousness of being responsible for another human being and the finality ...

Am I Ready To Have Children?

September 6, 2012 by Megan 26 Comments

Today I saw a blog post about knowing if you are ready to have kids. The blogger talked about people being in love with the idea of a wedding and not really thinking about the long haul. She wondered if she was in love with the idea of having a baby. You know the shower, the excitement, the gifts, the cute baby stuff. She posed the question: How do I know I am ready? I started to leave a comment, at which point I realized I had a lot to say on the subject. I decided to make it a post instead. ...
