We have been busy filling our jar with gratitude around here. Quinn loves telling me what he is thankful for. Every morning he asks if I can write down what he is thankful for and everyday I fall more in love with my little guy. I swear, as a mom, you think you love your kids more than anything in the world and then you start to love them more and more and more and you didn’t even know more love was possible. Who could have fathomed?
Aside from our jar of gratitude, our table is still decorated for Thanksgiving. Well the place settings are gone, but the beautiful velvet pumpkin centerpieces, flowers and candles still dress up the table.
There was part of the equation that just wasn’t adding up.
Yes, I believe our shelf needed a bit of a de-spookification (and yes, that is a word). My original fall mantle from back in September made a comeback for the most part. There were a few exceptions. Berry wreath this time around, should transition nicely into Christmas and real pumpkins, since we actually made it to the pumpkin farm.
The framed photos are pictures I took and I like to refer to as my fall photography. The feast art is actually a printable available here. The pumpkins are from the pumpkin farm and the wood bowl is from World Market. That about covers it.
I’m gonna be honest with y’all, I am getting the itch to decorate for Christmas. I have started working on a few projects (and even shared one here), but I am going to hold out. Mostly for the kids. Just the other day I had Christmas music on and Quinn was like, “Thanksgiving comes first, right?” We don’t want to confuse the poor kid. We will be celebrating one holiday at a time around here, but I will most definitely be Christmas crafting behind the scenes. How about you?
