A chalkboard fireplace is a fun way to bring a little Christmas warmth to a home without a fireplace. If you don’t have a fireplace mantel, this is a fun way to decorate.
Now check out our chalkboard fireplace
And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care…
Or the chalkboard fireplace.
To recreate this chalkboard fireplace look you will need:
I used three of these chalkboards* and then painted the wood frames with this gold paint*. (*affiliate link)
I’ve always wanted four kids, although it is actually hard to believe I have four kids, but I didn’t know I had the foresight to actually buy four matching stockings until we unpacked the Christmas goods.
I know there are some crazy amazing Christmas tours out there, but this is pretty much it for us. A christmas tree, the word JOY, a bowl full of ornaments that lost their hanger and a chalkboard fireplace.
I just recently took in that bookshelf from my parents. It will receive a new coat of paint and hardware when the weather and our lives allow…which kind of feels like never. Deep breaths, because I know how quickly time passes so I’m trying to soak it all up.
As I’m sure some of you notice, the trio of chalkboards found a new home. The dining room wall is now empty! I’m kind of liking it that way so it might just stay empty.
The fireplace artist was actually my husband. He is far more talented then I could ever be!
The kids have school next week and then that is it, winter break! Which also means I need to get teacher gifts together this weekend! These teacher gift tags are a must!
This teacher gift tag is one I used in the past. Works great with a Starbucks gift card too!
I’m excited to have the kiddos home over break. I’m bummed that my husband won’t get to spend extra time with us this holiday season, since he used up his days being home for baby. We will take full advantage of our time to hang in our PJ’s and just be together, because that is how I like us best.
This will be Fiona’s first Christmas and it is Hudson’s first Christmas where he GETS it. The kids are really excited and I am excited for them. I’m entirely unsure how it is already the holiday season and cannot believe we will be ringing in 2016 before you know it!
