My Coffee Story

This is a sponsored post.

I remember my first “coffee”. I was in college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (go Badgers!). I tried a french vanilla cappuccino. I was tired, it was cold and it smelled so good. Totally commercialized, sugar/chemical laden dessert that bares very little resemblance to coffee, I know! But that is where it started. One day I picked one up and was waiting until I got to class to enjoy it. As I was crossing the street, my foot caught on one of the supportive legs of a construction sign and I fell. My cappuccino spilled all over me and everywhere and I had gravel embedded in my hand. When I finally made it to class I ran into the bathroom to clean my hands. Then I had one of those slow-processing moments–this looks funny…. I went into the MEN’s bathroom! It was just one of those days.

I ditched that habit because the calories and the money added up pretty quick. My next adventure into coffee came with my first teaching gig. It was in the lounge and I would enjoy a cup every morning, mostly because it was there. At home, our coffee never tasted right. We tried various brands, temperature of water, etc. but couldn’t seem to make an enjoyable cup.

When my parents gifted us with a Keurig a few Christmas’ back, it was like my coffee prayers had been answered! I was finally able to make a good cup of coffee and the acidic taste was gone. Eventually, we ditched the K-cups for a reusable cup. Definitely a more affordable and environmentally friendly option. I hate cleaning out the darn thing every time I want a cup! I feel like it completely negates the convenient factor! I use to be able to have Quinn make me a cup of coffee!!

I’m pretty excited Cameron’s Coffee now offers coffee drinkers the choice to still have the convenience of single serve coffee, but brew their coffee through a coffee filter, instead of a plastic cup. Drink 100% Arabica coffee handled with exceptional care and quality with Cameron’s new Single Serve Coffee and experience what coffee can taste like without the burnt plastic taste. Cameron’s Handcrafted Coffee Filtered Single Serve is available in 12 premium flavors, and made of 100% Arabica Coffee (which is 100% tasty).

Now I can have my cake and eat it too! I get convenience, with less waste, a great taste, no BPA worries, at an affordable price. I’m officially a fan!

I love my coffee and enjoy a cup or two daily! Check out this printable we made for national coffee day.

Coffee printable-- aka- my family motto.

It is the truth! With my love of coffee has come a love of coffee mugs! I love them! A good cup of coffee in a fun mug is the best way to start the day!

I made this mug using glass pens and a feather cut out I already had from this project. I just taped it on and made dots. VOILA! You could use any image. Makes for a cute gift too!

I was able to find a HUGE variety of Cameron’s Coffee single serve cups at Festival Foods (local grocery store). These cups work with a variety of single-serve coffee machines, so definitely worth checking out. So what is your coffee story? Did you start out sweet? How do you take it? When did you start drinking?
