As part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®  I made this easy 5 ingredient chili mac.

I am by no means a chef. I don’t particularly like cooking either. I like to think of myself as an assembler. For my family of five, fall means school and soccer and go, go, go. One of my favorite way to get dinner on the table for my family is with the slow cooker.

Chili Mac

Now remember: I’m not a food blogger. I’m just a mom trying to get dinner on the table. This delicious little number I call chili mac. Quinn has a gag reflex to beans so we make ours without beans, but you are more then welcome to throw in a can of kidney beans if that is your deal.

This entire meal was inspired by Pick ‘n Save’s  77 days of Summer Savings items.

I am a stay at home mom so I browned my meat around lunch time and then threw everything in the slow cooker. If you have to go to work, you might want to consider browning your meat in advance. You could always brown a bunch and then freeze it.

You will need around a pound of hamburger (browned and drained), 2 14.5 ounce cans of diced tomatoes, Elbow Macaroni (I used about 3/4 of the box), 2 chili seasoning packets (or double whatever chili seasoning you use), grated cheese and sour cream (optional).

Dump the hamburger, chili packets, and 2 cans of tomatoes in the slow cooker and cook on low. When you get home from work or it is nearing dinner time boil up some noodles real quick. Drain them and dump them in the crock pot. Mix that all together. Now let that sit and stew while you wrangle the children, clean off the dinner table and handle whatever chaos that ensues. Everything is cooked, you are just letting everything soak up all the flavors.

When you serve it you top it with a nice amount of cheese. I also like sour cream.

Then you stir it all together and get this deliciousness.

Chili Mac

About as simple as it gets. Five ingredients: Meat, noodles, diced tomatoes, seasoning, cheese.
