I first revealed Quinn’s room way back when–you can check it out here. Most of his room has stayed just so. It is actually kind of a miracle, since I have a tendency to change things up. A lot!
One of the changes we made was adding a bulletin board. I actually picked up the bulletin board for Quinn on his first day of school. I thought it would be fun to give him a place to display his school papers and projects. Right now the hockey poster is taking up most of the space. My sister took him to a Badger hockey game for his birthday present.
One of the things that happens in a kids room is their toys and their passions become part of the decor.
Why fight it?
The Badgers bunting and the fringe bunting both came from a little football party set-up. I certainly didn’t want to throw them out so I just incorporated them into Quinn’s room.
From party to room decor. You can find the letter bunting here. Every letter in the alphabet is there to spell out whatever you need. The rest of the football printables are there too.
The bulletin board is just a really great way of creating a changeable space for one creative little boy. Speaking of creative–Quinn goes through sketch books like it is nobody’s business and I was paging through one today. It just warmed my heart and put a big old smile on my face to see the world through his eyes.
Any of you make some simple changes? How are you letting your kids display their creativity and take some control of their space?
