I was working on my Fourth of July mantle. My husband, Ross, was watching me fill frames and work on my display. As he watches me sprawled out on the floor filling frames he walks right on a frame. Yup, steps right on the glass. Despite watching me work, it didn’t seem to register that he should walk around. I had just taken the art out so it was just the glass, hard to see no doubt…but he seriously just watched me take the art out. Out of sight out of mind I guess.
I, being the perfect wife I am, smiled and said, “That is okay honey, I don’t mind when you break my frames. It just forces me to be creative and crafty and I love being creative and crafty!” What? You don’t think that is how it went down?
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
When your husband breaks yet ANOTHER frame, make an Instagram display.
This project is pretty cheap and really easy. I found my chicken wire at Home Depot. You buy it by the roll.
We used a staple gun to attach the wire. This frame had a pretty lip, which made it a tad more tricky.
I used mini clothespins to attach my Instagram pictures.
I actually have another #sparklingtruth. Sparkling truths happen when life happens. They’re those moments when you sparkle through unexpected challenges, brushing your shoulders off in bubbly style. So the broken frame turned amazeballs Instgram display was me sparkling. The truth is, the frame was an accident and so were the photos. My order got way messed up. I probably overpaid by a ton. The app quit on me and things got confusing. Did I mess up? Did they mess up? I don’t know. Somehow I ended up with 2 or 3 of a lot of the pictures. At first I was bummed. I had no use for them. I put some in my project life album, as was the intention of ordering them. I sent some to work with the husband, but it still bummed me out that this cuteness was going wasted. But then I brushed it off and got awesome.
And guess who really loves this new display? The kids. Everytime they walk by they stop to check out the pictures, often asking about them.
I am sharing my sparkling truth on behalf of Glaceau fruitwater®. They sent this fun package in the mail.
Glaceau fruitwater® is available in the following flavors: black raspberry + other natural flavors, orange mango flavored + other natural flavors, strawberry kiwi flavored + other natural flavors, lemon-lime flavored + other natural flavors and watermelon punch flavored + other natural flavors.
