This post is sponsored by Bona, but the mess and opinions are all my own.
Heading into this last weekend, I had two goals: attack the mountains of laundry and clean my floors using my new Bona Hardwood Floor Mop. The laundry in and of itself was probably more then a weekend job.
I always promise myself that I will not let it pile up and then I let it pile up. Because honestly, doing it all is just so freaking hard. Our laundry system is pathetic. It piles up in our room, because the laundry area is a dungeon in the basement. This is part of the problem, I hate going down there.
It started innocently enough–just sorting laundry and getting that started and then it hit me. We should change rooms. All of us. Right now.
Saturday morning in the midst of our laundry chaos we started emptying all the rooms.
We painted one room.
We worked and we worked and we worked and somehow by Monday morning my life still looked like this.
This is the point in which you kind of just stand and turn in circles, because you literally do not know where to start. It is almost as painful as the end– You know that part where you have all this random stuff that has no home and you just keep picking it up and putting it back down because you don’t know what to do with it!?
On Monday, it became my mission for all the kids to have functioning rooms, which was mostly underway, and to have our living space in order.
The husband and I worked non-stop. Sure, the laundry is still a mountain, but at least it is a mountain in the basement. Yes, each room has a basket of junk that we need to go through. But our house finally had some order and what was left was manageable!
When I cam back from dropping the older two off at school I even vacuumed and got dinner in the slow cooker! In the afternoon when Hudson was napping I busted out my Bona Hardwood Floor Mop and had clean floors in minutes.
Oh my word, I cannot tell you how good it felt to sit down on the couch and have this view!
I’m definitely a fan of the Bona Hardwood Floor Mop. I love it! It is easy to maneuver, has a good cleaning pad and gives a nice even spray. So far, I’m happy with the cleaner. It dried quickly and did the job. The true test is seeing how it holds up over time. Some cleaners seem to leave a film that makes my floors look super dirty real quick. So far so good with the Bona Cleaner.
Plus, with a dog and a house full of kids, I love using a product that is green.
