** POST UPDATE- Letter for one child and plain stationary can be found here
This will be year three of Elf on the Shelf fun at our house. Click here to see all our other Elf on the Shelf antics I have been sharing along the way. Our very first year of doing Elf on the Shelf I found myself scrambling Christmas Eve to figure out a way to end our adventure with our Elf on the Shelf, Bruce. You can see my original Goodbye to Our Elf on the Shelf post here.
I decided to write a letter giving the kids a chance to say goodbye and do what they have been dying to do all along–touch the Elf on the Shelf. I shared that letter with all of you, just as I had shared the rest of our Elf on the Shelf antics. Over time that letter has gained a lot of attention and today I wanted to offer a printable version, complete with letter head and an “official” seal of approval.
For all of you families that have enjoyed the Elf on the Shelf tradition and I have been wondering how to end it, I hope this brings you the meaningful and happy ending you were looking for. If you are looking for more Elf on the Shelf ideas, be sure to check out my Elf on the Shelf Gallery.
