I thought a lot about falling in love. I pictured someone tall, dark and handsome. I imagined it would happen once, we would get married and we would live happily ever after. And I did meet someone tall, dark and handsome and I married him. But then it happened three more times. There names are Quinn, Eleanor & Hudson. I guess I never could imagine this love. Who could? I fall more and more love with them every.single.day. There have been a couple times recently when Hudson has been ...

Reading Nook and Lots of Books
We love books around here. We have more books then we even know what to do with. Bookshelves full of hardcover books. Gutters full of soft-cover books. It has actually gotten to the point where the books are stacked and organized. All the transformer books together, the Justice League together, etc. The thing about kids is they really like reading the same book over and over again. If you buy a book for them--it will be loved. I'm a huge proponent of reading. If you want to be ...
Five Years, Five Things
Yesterday Quinn turned 5! I had a really hard time letting go of yesterday. There may have even been tears. When I was snuggling Quinn in bed he finally said, "Mom, when are you going to let go of me?" He meant the excessive squeezing and hugging, but I couldn't help but to think of that question in another way. Man is letting go hard. Five just feels so damn old. He isn't a baby or toddler--he is a boy. It kind of hurts. I didn't expect to feel this way. Quinn is so special. I know every ...
Growing Your Family Gracefully
When I had Quinn, he was my world. I couldn't imagine being able to take care of another child. I couldn't imagine what another child would possibly look like--be like. I couldn't imagine loving another child as deeply as I love Quinn. That seems almost funny now looking back. Quinn was a tad older then 2 1/2 when Eleanor was born. I was worried he would be jealous, feel neglected and be bitter. I had heard horror stories of children not talking to their mom for weeks--just daddy. I ...
Target Fail
Yesterday, after meeting up with the in-laws for some Noodles we decided to stop at Target. I mean, can stopping at Target ever be wrong? Apparently it can. I usually like to linger in Target. Check out all the cuteness, cruise the endcaps looking for clearanced necessities stuff. The kids wanted to look at toys and I needed breast pads. That is after all, why we stopped. Nothing but fun stuff for new, nursing moms. Well the rest of you are shopping TargetĀ for adorable accessories and ...
