I wish I could explain to you just how exciting it was to pick food from our very first garden (check out the first garden post here). Kind of crazy that I didn't even know how the various things would mature, grow and produce vegetables. Literally no gardening knowledge (AT ALL!), some organic soil, water and sunshine is all it took. The best part was getting the kids in on the action and having them excited about eating healthy. Heck, it even made me wanna cook. Look it our ...

Summer To Do List: Sleepover
We have checked off a few things from our summer to do list (read more about our list here). One of those things was a sleepover. Quinn slept over his grandparents with his aunt, but never had anyone sleepover. My cousin Ian, who is 12, slept over. Quinn just idolizes him and thinks he is pretty cool. He was the perfect sleepover guest too, because I didn't have to worry about him getting homesick or missing his mommy. The most amazing thing about having children is everything is magical. You ...
Six Year Anniversary, Giveaway & Vlog
This Sunday, July 15th is our six year wedding anniversary. I blogged about it last year (you can read about that here) and included all sorts of deets from our big day. This year I had the genius idea to make a vlog (video blog). This is especially shocking since I avoid the camera like the black plague. This wasn't planned. It was kind of like: The kids are in bed. "Ross sit down. We are making a vlog for our anniversary". And then we did. I haven't watched it back, which means ...
Summer Fun
Can you believe it is almost July?! Summer is flying by. Nothing beats being a kid in the summer, nothing. My best memories are from summer days. Anyone else? I think we are going to kick off July with a Summer MUST-DO-LIST. I don't want summer to get away from us and wish we would have done this and that. Nothing elaborate. I'm a broke momma with one small car, but that doesn't mean we cannot make the most of each day. We happen to live minutes away from one of the best beaches (Parents ...
Back When a Police Officer Escorted Me Out…
Did I ever tell you about the time I was escorted out of a H.S. basketball game by a police officer? Yup, this girl, right here. Me and my sidekick Kate. Honor Roll, Student Government, AP Classes, CC Captain, Athlete and SUSPECTED rule breaker. Kate and I couldn't be anything further from trouble makers, but one senior citizen took her job WAY too seriously. (No offense to senior citizens everywhere). Our basketball team had made it to Regional or Sectional play. I don't know which, but I ...
