Big Girl Room Reveal

June 3, 2013 by Megan 15 Comments

After leading you on for months I finally have my act together. Here is the final reveal of Eleanor's big girl room. We had so much fun making this special room for Eleanor. It was tough saying goodbye to her nursery. With baby #3 on the way, it was time. I was so nervous about her being upstairs and being in a big girl bed. It turns out all my worrying was for nothing. Isn't that how it goes for us moms? She loves her big girl room, spends hours destroying playing in it. We made ...

Big Girl Room Doors & DIY Magnet Board

May 23, 2013 by Megan 11 Comments

We finally wrapped up Eleanor's room. Since starting her room our living room got a bit of a makeover, we renovated our bathroom, worked on an nursery and welcomed a brand new baby boy. Needless to say, I have left you all hanging. I have been sharing with you the process of Eleanor's room makeover starting with the prepping, the reading nook, the low down on the reading nook, everything you need to know about carpet tiles, how the room was inspired, the hardware, and the bedding . Its All About the Windows & How a Room Is Inspired

March 4, 2013 by Megan 2 Comments

I often get the question, Where do you get your inspiration from? And that is a hard question to answer. Inspiration is a combination of things for me. The space, my budget, what is available, how I want the space to function and what makes my heart sing. Sometimes I get stuck on an idea and the rest of the world isn't aware of my genius. I will run from store to store trying to find whatever it is I have envisioned, only to find out it doesn't exist. Sometimes you can fix that with a DIY and ...

Hanging Gutter Bookshelves & the Low-Down On the Reading Nook

February 25, 2013 by Megan 3 Comments

Last week I revealed Eleanor's big girl room reading nook. The first completed project of her new room. Since posting it, I have received lots and lots of questions about her space. Questions on various Facebook posts, on Instagram, in the comments and just about anywhere one could think to look. I tried my best to answer them, but at the end of the day I thought it would be best to put all those answers in one post. Let us start with a source list: 1. Gutter bookshelves and end caps ...
