Today I saw a blog post about knowing if you are ready to have kids. The blogger talked about people being in love with the idea of a wedding and not really thinking about the long haul. She wondered if she was in love with the idea of having a baby. You know the shower, the excitement, the gifts, the cute baby stuff. She posed the question: How do I know I am ready? I started to leave a comment, at which point I realized I had a lot to say on the subject. I decided to make it a post instead. ...
Mom Musings
Craft-tastic
That title has nothing to do with anything. Just a thing...I say...occasionally. Anyone else? Right now I should be blogging about an awesome craft I made while the kids were napping. Unfortunately, (those of you who follow me on Facebook already know this), my craft supplies became toys. They are MIA. Well, I found one in the craft closet and one under the couch. One is still missing. By the way I need to dust/vacuum bad. We have some cat-hair-tumbleweed action that I wasn't aware of. Thanks ...
Summer To Do: Swimming & Sparklers

You can imagine when twelve children marry and have children and their children have children and we all stick around...it gets ...
Kiddo Randomness
Bare with me and my randomness. I just have so much to share. Judging by the Facebook response, we are all a little off kilter. Yes, it is true, my creative time has been taken over by summer fun, family events and life. It is all good though, because Wisconsin winters are long and I will get my mojo back. Living with kids, as you know (assuming you live with kids or have ever spent time with one), always brings something interesting to the table. Seriously, they find so much joy in ...
My Zucchini Is Bigger Than Yours

Kind of crazy that I didn't even know how the various things would mature, grow and produce vegetables. Literally no gardening knowledge (AT ALL!), some organic soil, water and sunshine is all it took. The best part was getting the kids in on the action and having them excited about eating healthy. Heck, it even made me wanna cook. Look it our ...
