How To Reuse Party Decor

I love decorating for shin-digs. The problem is, I often find myself wondering what to do with it all when the party is over. We just recently celebrated Hudson’s first birthday.

See what I did there? The robots that were garland are now specimen art.

The tissue paper tassel garland is now hanging above the changing table. Which is the best idea ever because Hudson is obsessed with it. He is at that awful diaper changing stage where you need to pin him down and he is one squirmy worm–so we are grateful that it keeps him still. Until the novelty wears off, of course.

I figured since I was in there snapping pics, I might as well snap the rest of the room.

Following a theme or color pattern that matches your decor or child’s decor is a nice way to reuse the party decor. I also moved some “party” decor to Quinn’s room.

Football Party with lots of printables: Chalkboard playbook printable, varsity letter pennant printable, cupcake topper printables. Simple tips for entertaining like paper bag serving bowls, customized water bottles, and DIY tassel bunting.

We actually had a showing this Friday. This prompted me to finally take down Hudson’s birthday decorations and thus this idea was born. It was fantastic to relax Friday night in a house the was clean and where are all the rooms feel finished. That is how I know it is time to leave.

Now I have to get going on Eleanor’s birthday–May 12. Looks like a Doc McStuffins party–unless she changes her mind, again. Soccer season is officially in full swing, our house is on the market and we are still working like mad to tie up loose ends around here too. We have been making over our porch to up the curb appeal and we cleaned out the garage this weekend. The basement needs so much cleaning and sorting still. I struggle just to stay on top of the everyday stuff, so things are definitely busy. I feel like spring always brings about this go get-em attitude! Fresh air, hard work and family. What more does a girl need?
