Bruce, our Elf on the Shelf has been bringing lots of laughter to the household: giving people mustaches, building forts, messing with power tools, fishing for underwear, hot tubbin', gaming, camping, hanging out and playing cards. He is still Quinn's first priority every morning. What kinds of things has your elf been up to? Please excuse some of the poor photography. Most of these pictures are taken at night when Bruce is getting into mischief and the lighting isn't all that great. We ...

Christmas Table
The other day Ross came home to a clean house and a beautifully set table. Don't get your hopes up buddy, I just set the table for blog photos and there is no dinner. Yes, while the children napped I cleaned up and then played around with setting a Christmas table and taking photos of it. This table is super simple. DIY Glitter Christmas Tree
Y'all probably remember from my post the other day, Snow Filled Mason Jar Holiday Hurricane, that I like to keep my holiday decor cheap and versatile. The kid's are encouraged to tell Bruce what they want for Christmas, much like writing a letter to Santa. We often refer to Bruce as a stinker and we certainly don't use him as a form of parenting. When we started doing Elf on the Shelf last year I really didn't know anyone doing it or much about it. It seemed like fun, much like decorating ...
Snow Filled Mason Jar Holiday Hurricane
As much as I love decorating for the holidays, I have very little actual holiday decorations. I truly believe you can create a holiday home without investing a ton of money in holiday stuff. I made a Christmas tree for free out of wrapping paper, glitter Christmas trees (still have to blog about those bad boys), filled frames with wrapping paper, cut and ...
