This spring we did a little dining room update. I decided I was tired of decorating around a mirror and even worse, photographing into a mirror. Since so much of what we do with this space revolves around decorating for holidays and parties, I knew I wanted to put something up that lent itself to decorating. I had grand plans to build this massive chalkboard. We even started picking out materials. Then one day while perusing Hobby Lobby, I saw a chalkboards and thought---a trip tic. With ...
A Frozen Birthday Party
Eleanor, along with every other child, is obsessed with Frozen. She knows every word to every song. The soundtrack is on repeat in our car. She also knows every hand gesture, hair flip and stomp of the Let it Go scene. Elsa is her favorite, because "she has the powers". Like every other soon to be three year old she also knows what she wants and she wanted a Frozen Birthday party. I tried to talk her out of it, but it wasn't happening. There just isn't a very big variety of Frozen stuff and ...
Time is Flying

I love my husband a lot and I happen to think he is funny. Even when he is annoying me, he amuses me. He told me I shouldn't call it a junk drawer if I don't want ...
How To Reuse Party Decor
I love decorating for shin-digs. The problem is, I often find myself wondering what to do with it all when the party is over. We just recently celebrated Hudson's first birthday. See what I did there? The robots that were garland are now specimen art. The tissue paper tassel garland is now hanging above the changing table. Which is the best idea ever because Hudson is obsessed with it. He is at that awful diaper changing stage where you need to pin him down and he is one squirmy ...
